Welcoming the Year of the Horse at Lotus Tao

As we bid farewell to the Year of the Snake and step into the Year of the Horse, we invite you to join us at Lotus Tao Temple to greet the new year with the sacred offering of incense. This time-honored tradition creates a bridge between the earthly and the divine, allowing us to honor our ancestors, express gratitude for the year past, and set intentions for the journey ahead.

The Horse—the seventh animal in the Chinese zodiac—embodies the spirit of freedom, vitality, and forward momentum. Those born under this sign are known for their independence, warmth, and tireless energy. In Taoist philosophy, the Horse represents yang energy in its most dynamic form: spirited yet graceful, powerful yet elegant. This is a year that calls us to embrace courage, pursue our passions with renewed vigor, and gallop toward our dreams with confidence and joy.

At our temple, we create space for reflection, healing, and growth. As you light incense and offer your prayers, you join generations of practitioners who have found strength in this simple yet profound act. The fragrant smoke carries our hopes skyward, while grounding us in the present moment—a reminder that we are one with the Tao, and one with Nature.

Whether you are continuing a family tradition or exploring Taoist practices for the first time, you are welcome here. Come experience the warmth of our community as we celebrate together, honoring the old while welcoming the new.

Join us for this transformative journey into the Year of the Horse. May it bring you vitality, freedom, and boundless possibility.
